Assenheimer bows?

I saw a picture of one a few days ago and thought it was quite a beautiful bow.  Then found his web site and all of them are beautiful.  Looks like he has one design with options on the woods he uses.

Do any of you shoot or have shot Assenheimer bows?  How do they shoot? Are they quiet? fast? feel dead in the hand?

Don Assenheimer is a fine bowyer. You can do a search on this site and pick up quite a few references to him and his reputation.  
You are correct, he only makes 3 piece take-down recurves and has perfected his design to deliver the most bow for the buck that I have found anywhere.
I have a 2006 Assenheimer bow with 2 sets of limbs (46 & 54 @ 28"). I also have, or have had Black Widow, Acadian Woods, and Martin recurves. My favorite bow of all is the Assenheimer because of the qualities you mentioned, and because the design fits me.
Mr & Mrs. Assenheimer are great to work with and they keep their promises.

I agree 100% with the above statements.
I have one Assenheimer in my possesion right now,I have had as many as 3 at any given time.
Don's bows are not just great shooters they are a work of art.
They are not the fastest or hardest hitting but they are very foregiving.

I have had several of Don's bows.  Have two at present.  Grand bows and no nicer folks to work with.  Then I guess I'm prejudice.  Don is a good friend.
