Predator Lobo longbow, anybody please?
« on: June 21, 2013, 10:46:00 PM »
I am so stoked with my new Predator 'Impact' recurve.   It has certainly satisfied all my desires for a recurve bow.  That one is in the bag now, so don't have to worry about looking for another recurve.

However, I would still like a lovely one-piece R/D longbow.   They have gracious lines and though not as fast as a recurve are a real joy to shoot.  I have had some beauties and regretfully sold them over the years (Turkey Creek, Fox R/C).

It is very expensive to ship a one-piece from the States to Australia.   Last one I did on 08 cost me 150 USD for the postage alone.  Now that the Aussie dollar is down it will be even more for the poor exchange rate.

The dealer in Canberra has the new Predator Lobo longbow.  The price is good, will be OK for postage because it is already here in the country.  However, I did a search and they don't seem very popular.   Can't find out anything about them.

Before I slap down the cold, hard-earned ones, can somebody tell me something about this bow.  I need a decent grip on a L/B - kind of a semi-recurve grip.   This one looks great for that reason.

Anybody?

The Predator Lobo looks great to me as well. Waiting to hear some feedback but looks like it's so new that nobody tried them yet.

Looks like nobody has one, but has anybody shot one or heard anything about them?

I have no experience with their longbow, but I did own two of their recuves.  Would still if I didn't go and switch to lefty shooting.  Their recurves are fast, wonderful shooting bows.  I am gonna guess that the longbow will be as well.

When you get one   :D   please tell us all how it is.

Yes I sure will Chuck.  Like you I love my Predator Recurve.  Just wish I could find out a bit more about the Lobo before I slap the dough on the table.

Thanks Luke - you are a winner.

Seems like these are not popular in the States, but there are a few here.  There is a guy 'BigPete' on Australian Bowhunting who has one - he speaks highly of it.

I am just about ready to pull the trigger but every time I ring the dealer in Canberra, the phone is not picked up.  Has he closed or something?

Hope we can touch base soon too Luke.
