Started my daydreaming over a year ago. Ordered a new Dale Dye bow for my first ever DIY Colorado elk hunt this coming September. Needed a little more power than my deer woods bow. Been shooting, walking, running and working stair wells for months now.
Have to thank all the previous posters for all the great information here, been searching and reading all I can on this subject.

I'm another coastal hunter but I'm surrounded by the buggers year round so they are never out of my mind for long.

I think elk hunting will be a dream for me again this year. A move, house hunting, job hunting, family obligations, etc. At least I'll be able to tag along with my brother as he's chasing a bighorn ram!

I'm off on my first elk hunt this year, been running and shooting everyday but living in the flat lands (Kansas)still not sure I'm in good enough shape for 8,000-10,000 ft. Life long dream so I can't wait.

Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

Adam and I are all set to hunt with our friends in UT again this year! It is going to be stellar; there will be a few PBS Youths joining us in camp.

looking forward to my 47th stright season...spent the weekend checking out a new (old) area that i haven't hunted since 96...killed my biggest bull there that year and this weekend found his little brother dead close to a wallow about 300 yards from where i killed my 7x7...this one was a 7x7 but not overly huge but still big enough to get the dreaming started...
anyone want to post pics for me let me know.

Hey Chris, when are you two heading home from Australia? I finally met Paul Nelson at one of the Wenatchi River trad shoots. We're starting our scouting next week over near Yakima, so it's coming!!!
