Successful Quebec trip
« on: June 24, 2013, 06:03:00 PM »
Quebec is a special place and 2013 was no exception. I was able to shoot a black bear with my bow, catch a lot of nice pike, and enjoy a fine camp with my Canadian and Belgium friends.

I used a Morrison 15" ILF recurve with converted DAS Daala 55# limbs.  On day 4, I got lucky and made a perfect pass-through shot.  Within the minute, I heard the bear go down, followed by the  sad, bitter-sweet death moan.

Two days earlier, I had a very large Bruin come in fairly close, but couldn't get a decent shot at him. I donated my bow to my fellow Lefty Alain Revist, my friend, host and resident of Quebec.    :archer2:

As usual, my trusted side-kick Dustin Newer (TOEHEAD) made it a trip to be remembered and treasured for a lifetime. Merci beacoup!!

Awesome Barry!
Congrats on a beautiful Bear.

Barry you are a true Gentlemen and an even better hunting partner, and not a bad fisherman either!  Great shot on the bear man, it was a true honor to be on the blood trail with you.

Congrats Barry. Took my first trip to Quebec for my first bear hunt a couple weeks ago and I'm hooked. Just gotta find some property to bait bears in AR this fall.
