Quebec is a special place and 2013 was no exception. I was able to shoot a black bear with my bow, catch a lot of nice pike, and enjoy a fine camp with my Canadian and Belgium friends.
I used a Morrison 15" ILF recurve with converted DAS Daala 55# limbs. On day 4, I got lucky and made a perfect pass-through shot. Within the minute, I heard the bear go down, followed by the sad, bitter-sweet death moan.
Two days earlier, I had a very large Bruin come in fairly close, but couldn't get a decent shot at him. I donated my bow to my fellow Lefty Alain Revist, my friend, host and resident of Quebec.
As usual, my trusted side-kick Dustin Newer (TOEHEAD) made it a trip to be remembered and treasured for a lifetime. Merci beacoup!!
