Steve shipped "Big Green" out a few weeks prior. Honestly though, I see why the Plains Indians had the short horse bows. If they had Shrew bows back then, we would all be speaking Sioux.    :bigsmyl:  [/b]

That saddle IS a bit small. We'd all be walking funny after that shot.

Ron, that's a nice picture of you on the horse. I see you're carrying your double 'barrelled' bow scabbard in case you run into some roughyin's.
That was an elk hunt trip that John Lee and I made to Colorado some years back. I took two osage self bows, "Bodacious" which was 83#@26" and "Bo Derick", 81#@26" had a pencil size hole through her riser under the handle ..           ...      :D

We had a similar set up at a local shoot but the barrel was suspended with ropes and you had to shoot a little solid fiberglass but but with the arrows you brought with you. Made it real challenging.

On shots like that, I don't even worry about hitting the target. I just feel great if I don't fall off. No, I don't ride horse - saddle leather and my butt just make a bad combination.
