Cloverdale/Comptons

I've attended Cloverdale for about the past 12 years. Always had a great time and they have a great course. Vendors have been fewer for the past few years and participant seemed fewer this year. It has been suggested that the close timing of Comptons has had a negative effect on Cloverdale.
I've attended Comptons only once. Had a good time but their course can't hold a candle to Cloverdale. Reports here indicate that vendor and participant numbers were down.
The cost of gas probably factors into the problem for both locations.
It would seem that consideration could be given to combining these two events. Shooters and vendors could attend one event, saving both money.
Comptons co-hosted the Pre-Spring Arrow Fling in Alabama for the past two years so it would not be a stretch to combine Cloverdale and Comptons.
I will continue to support Cloverdale as I really enjoy their course.

Why not take this suggestion to the boards of both the Organizations? Yes, what we say might make sense, but the ultimate deciding factor is the two Organizations and if they think it is a good thing or not.
