A NEW Shrew
« on: June 29, 2013, 11:33:00 AM »
I think everyone here on Trad Gang knows Chuck Deshler of Two Tracks. Chuck has been building bows for over a decade and has a very good reputation as a top notch bowyer. Looking at his work you'd think he had even more experience. After seeing some of his bows I was impressed with his craftsmanship, so last March I approached Chuck to see if he'd like to make some of my Shrew bows for me. He agreed, and after making a form he made several experimental bows before he got everything just right.

This bow is the latest, a LH (so I could test it), 56" Shrew Classic, 46#@ 28". Bamboo core with Ice Maple veneers. It's a beautiful bow and shoots even better than it looks..

Awesome!  I just snagged a Greg Coffey made 56" CH never having tried a Shrew and I'm in love.  Excellent bows!  This is so cool that Chuck Deshler is gonna make them.  Might need to get one.  I always chuckle when I see his name cause my name is Chuck Droessler.    ;)

Hey! Thats good to see! What a pretty bow!

I had one of Chucks prototypes in my hand at Compton, and the grip felt great!

Good for you Ron & Chuck, I am thrilled to see the Shrew name moving forward!
