Thanks for the suggestions folks keep um coming!
How about taking off with " Life is too short to ... ???
I saw the suggested finish of "shoot ugly bows", who has some others?
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Life is too short to worry with your final chapter. You should try to write as many as you can before the end nears. The final chapter will write itself. If you believe in hell, worry with the epilogue.

It will be a great day when the Air Force has to hold a bake sale to buy a new aircraft and our schools get ALL the money they want/need.

I spent 25 years in the volunteer fire service.  After 9/11 we had the following put on our apparatus:
"No second chance...Let's Roll"

Its reference is to taking on any high stakes situation and totally dominating it.  It ties back to the passengers who fought back to retake their planes that day.
Ken Adkins

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

Life is too short to drink cheap beer!

A favorite in Aus: "If it's feral, it's in peril!"

My personal favorite (as posted previously):  The man that says "I can", and the man that says "I can't" are both correct.

"Every ally you make in peace time will not be an enemy you will have to face in battle" -- My buddy Doug

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. -- John Stuart Mill
The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.
--Thomas Jefferson--
