Black and White Widow revisited and #2
« on: June 30, 2013, 08:09:00 PM »
Black and white ebony has fast become my favorite wood, and as many of your know I love widow curves.  Last year I received one of the best looking and best shooting bows that I have ever owned. I also had one of the best years trad hunting that I have ever had.  Here is the bow and one of the deer I killed with it.

Well that brings us to the present.  I had another set of black and white ebony veneers and another piece of riser wood.  I wanted a 3 piece bow so i decided to build a PCHX.  The ebony was really dark compared to my other bow, hard to believe all these veneers came out of the same piece of wood.   I gave Toby a call and decided to add a phenolic cap to the front of the riser.  A 56" pchx 57@28 the widow boys hit weight dead on the number and this is how it turned out  "BLACK DEATH"

I absolutely agree with you.  Those are some of the best looking bows I've seen.  I can't wait to get my black and white ebony bow.

WELL the bad thing is I THOUGHT I was done with BW Ebony Widows,  However much to my dismay I was wrong. Toby called me a couple months ago said he had something I may be Interested in.  He knows I love BW ebony and widows.  Here is #3 in the making i bought the middle set for what  I think will make the best one Yet. Even got some curl in it Thanks Toby!!!  My Father In Law got a set also should be some real lookers and better shooters!!

Will, Will, Will what are we going to do with you (or better yet what is your wife going to do    :biglaugh: )!

Awesome bows, also looking forward to see what 2013 deer season brings to you and your brother in laws if the lord should tarry.
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

I couldn't figure out whether I like the bow or the buck best. Both are great specimens. You are a blessed man.

God bless, /Steve
