My First Warf Bow! Me Likey

So, I have been wanting to try one of these Warf bows that I've been hearing about. A fellow Tradganger (who by the way was excellent to deal with!) had one for sale so, I picked it up. Ordered a set of TT Black Maxx mediums in 45#, D97 12 strand padded to 14 string, front vibration dampener and limbsavers. Shooting with a Bear weather rest this bow is fast! I was very surprised actually at how fast.
The bow is 64" w/the medium limbs and probably about 41#'s.

Very nice!
Congrats on the new bow. I like the looks of it.

I dwelled in Warfs a few years ago. It was a "had to try it thing" for me. I have that same riser and carbon/wood limbs but mine came out to 48lbs. Shoots nice but not a bow I want to carry around all day. I may part with the riser, just waiting to make up my mind.

I agree, it would be a heavy bow to have to tote in the woods all afternoon. I probably won't hunt with it this year as I'm pretty partial to my Kodiak Hunter right now but, who knows about next year.

Talk about a great bowfishing setup, that would be perfect! Especially with all of the threaded holes in the riser.
Is that a Bear Black Bear riser?

Doug, it is a Black Bear riser. I understand the work was done by Sam Dunham and it was very well done I might add. No plates as it was machined for the ILF limbs to fit it.

Very interesting!
I have an old Bear Whitetail II compound sitting in the corner in my basement. Just using it for a spider breeding ground at the moment. Anyone know if I can turn it into a bowfishing bow like this???
