I think I shoot most like Papa Bear. I also learned a lot of the technical stuff from Mr. Asbell but I always go back and watch the old Fred Bear movies and try to copy his movements. I think they shoot in a very similar style though.

Wow! Just went and read Rob's comment. That's heavy stuff but I never thought of it that way. Thanks Rob!

Well since no one in my family shot archery, and I started to shoot when I was about 7-8 yrs old and that was way back in 57-58, as in 1957-58, I guess myself. I never had a instruction but was lucky enough to end up with good form.

If I had to pick someone, I guess it would have to be our very own moebow, since I have been watching his instructions to others closely and then checking to see if I am doing what he recommends, though most of the time I am, I still learn why it's correct, and am able to correct any imperfections in my form. Kind of like learning what I use to do naturally but now understanding it all.

Thanks Moe !

Barry Wensel was a big influence on me when I first started shooting a trad bow.  I watched him in the October Whitetails videos and I liked the way he brought his bow up as game approached and then just came back to anchor and shot.  The lack of movement mades sense to me and I still shoot that way many years later.

The only one that's close to famous would be Ishi.  I've had instruction in yumi, as well as aboriginal American archery.  I've noticed I don't shoot much like any of you guys, but I still hit my target.

A blend of Jimmy Blackmon, John Demmer, Steve Nicholson and my own. But I can only dream of shooting half as good as either one of them.

After trying different styles of archery and trying to blend them over a number of years, I have concluded that Rick Welch's style works best for me and I should stop trying to blend things.

Went to Rick Welch's school, practice the way he taught me, pretty much shoot just like him. Since going to his school I have won 90 % of the 3d shoots I have been to.

I taught myself how to shoot and I'm pretty happy with the results. I never emulated anyone and will not mess with other styles. I shot 2 groundhogs today with 3 shots, good enough!

Mike Fedora was giving a shooting seminar at ETAR one time and I paused long enough to realize HE shoots just like ME.  :)
