Folks that hunt Jersey
« on: September 01, 2007, 07:55:00 AM »
For all you Trad Gangers that hunt/plan on hunting Jersey[Sopranoland]. The new Fish and Wildlife Digests are out and there are some changes this year. The biggest being if you hunt during the permit bow season you have to buy an additional "Buck Tag" permit. If you don't during the permit season [the rut] you may only take two does.

Hey Sal.   I see that I was concerned with Zone 4  where I spend most of my time.I like how they put these out a week before the season opens. It's like studying for a test before the season opens. Early season is still earn a buck.

Hey Dead Simple. If I knew you didn't know, I would have told you when we last hung out.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Yep been on-line for over a month.  The website is typically updated before the book comes out.

I hunt zone 12 and the doe are unlimited but I only take one for my family and if a co-worker or friend wants one then I take more.  If I get a nice buck during the regular bow season I'm not buying any additional bow permits.  I plan to small game hunt with my smoke-poles more.

If anyone is planning to purchase the "second season" permit you MUST purchase the buck tag at the same time as you will not be able to later.  The state is doing that to stop people from not buying a buck tag until after they shoot a nice buck so they can check it and have it butchered and or take the deer to a taxidermist..

For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.
