300 Xtreme BH
« on: July 05, 2013, 04:37:00 PM »
Is there any interest in bringing back the Stainless Steel 3 bladed 300 grain 300 Xtreme? One of the best heavy BH I've ever used, I paid $30 ea. back then. I feel I can bring them back and sell a 3 pk for $59.95 + shipping. What do you think.

I've got some in my archery tackle box and they are certainly some wicked heads.  Seems like going heavy up front is certainly in vogue these days with a lot of other 225 grn and up blades being used.  I'd give them a shot at that price.
Danny Rowan would jump all over them.

I'd be interested in working up an arrow setup with them.  At that cost, would be cheaper than some already available heads.

I'm not sure if there is another 3 blade Stainless Steel BH available? These are solid one piece heads.

Bob,
I have one of these heads but always felt 300 grains was too much for most of my hunting situations.  A lighter head would be on my wish list in this design if feasible.

I would love to see a head like this come out or like the VPA's that has about the same dimensions as the original Woodsmans 1 1/8" cut 2 5/8" long, but machined from a single piece of steel (stainless or not makes me no difference) glue on that weighs 125-150 grains with no vents.

I would be all over them Bob. I still have about 2 doz of the originals and love them, easy to sharpen and hold a wicked edge very well. I have put them through hogs, whitetail and fallow deer and just touch them up and they are ready to go again.

I would buy a half dozen....I'd have to go to arrow dynamics golds to get them to fly.....but I have a few...

I still have one of the original proto types.

Terry, I'm shooting yellows, and its a real good setup. I have 6 or 7 original final design. and I have several of the different proto types.. The picture is of the final design, and is what we will get when and if we get the order together. And all it takes is $$$$$$

I shoot them on AD Trads, Hammerheads, Hammerhead lites, golds, greens, and oranges, they all fly true from all of my bows.

I have about a dozen and a half of them. Great broadheads. Way tougher than nails!!!! I was with Bob Morrison when Joe Coots shot one at a target from an angle where he had already shot an arrow that had a 300 grain target point, and the 300Xtreem  almost cut the target point in half. It only took Joe a couple of minutes to resharpen the 300Xtreem back to a razor edge. The 300Xtreem is the equivalent of a VPA Terminator, only in stainless.

I hear ya Danny...not sure if its my bow weights...draw length or what....but 250 is about max...I normally shoot 175 90% OF  the time and 225 the other 10%  I don't like the way the heavier heads fly....but I'd make and exception for these on select hunts cause they will go off Golds for me....and the golds are lighter than the trads so my trajectory wouldn't be effected much either.

What's the word Bob....any sort of minimum you need?
