I've shot in the rain a few times here in NC of late. 15 straight days with some sort of rainfall at my house.

I haven't hardly shot in a week.  It's been nonstop rain here and 90+ degree heat with almost 90-100% humidity...not to mention gnats.  Terrible.  I did manage to shoot my Habu a little last night after it cooled off and the rain stopped.  Still humid as all get out.  Ugh.

No Basement, but rather an air conditioned shop. Also outside early and late.

I tinker with arrows, packs, etc., or shoot in the basement when it gets hot out.  No reason to be miserable unnecessarily!

For me it's unrealistic anyway, as I rarely hunt in that kind of weather, and shooting in a t-shirt with sweat dripping in my eyes is a lot different than shooting with a wool coat and vest on.  The t-shirt stuff is so much easier, it hurts my 'bulky clothing' shooting.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

Yes, still shooting.  It's been 90 to 100 with pretty high humidity but the gangs still shooting.

I am shooting much less with the heat and humidity.   I shot almost every day all winter, no matter what the temp.  Once it gets up to the 80's and high humidity and I can't get the umph to sweat and shoot.  I don't know how you Southern boys do it.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

scatter,,, I'm near Boston and I've been cowering in the house like a little wimpy dog...  BUT the wind turned and brought in the sea breeze around 4pm today and dropped the temp to 76,, the humidity is still the same but its like a vacation-- hope you got a cool down from it over in NY..

I really have to give the folks in the south land credit,, If its hot enough to get a sun burn I won't no part of it and will take single degree temps over the 90's with humidity ANY DAY.

It's gonna still be hot this weekend and you can bet I'm going out to Suffolk Archers on Sunday for their Knock-A-Block, (Muzzy Type) shoot!
