The thing that keeps me from shooting them is the price

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Is there any difference in the shaft, or does the Ferguson just use a heavier insert?  If the only difference is the insert weight, you could accomplish the same thing by using regular GT's with supplemental screw-in weights.

Different weight in shaft. The Feruson's weigh over 13 grs per inch.

I bet they are tougher, but that's a guess, I'm like Dave, they cost more than I want to spend and they weigh more than I want to shoot.

My take on the heavy GT arrows is, it will take a tremendous amount of weight up front to get the FOC up. That would be a good thing for hunting very large game but a big hog is most likely the largest target I'll ever have.

I love the regular GT arrows, they leave plenty of shooting and tuning options in my opinion. Honestly I have never felt the need to look for another arrow.

I also shoot GT trads and they are great especially for the price. Just throw on a heavy head if you want more weight.
