New CM Hunter II Arrived...
« on: September 01, 2007, 09:26:00 PM »
My new Hunter II arrived yesterday.  This one is 60" 53#@28" Zebra/Bubinga with Elm limbs.

It's naturally camo'ed for hunting in my favorite part of ND, west of the Missouri River.
As my Zebra/Walnut Hunter 56 is named Little Mo for The Little Missouri River in the ND Badlands, This bow will be named Big Mo, for the Mighty Missouri itself.

Was going to have this H2 made, but by pure chance Ron up at Height Archery had this one on hand. What are the odds of a left hand H2 in the woods and draw I wanted being in stock?

Other than being 60" rather than my preferred 58", it was what I would have ordered.  To avoid 8 months wait, I'll accept those extra 2" of OAL.

The H2 riser is my favorite, and this bow shoots as sweet and smooth as it looks.  It's also in a dead tie with my Prairie Swift as the most quiet bow I own.  Looks like I have a new primary bow.

BTW, the T-300 rest allows me to shoot either vanes or feathers equally well.  I remove the spine point and replace it with a strip of rug rest...

I like it. Got a 64 incher that is really smooth shooting.

I agree ILBS.  I've seen quite a number of CM bows and bought/own several, but this wood combo tops them all.  Had I ordered I was torn between Zebra/Walnut and Zebra/Bubinga.  Love that Zebrawood!

BTW, if any right hander wants one like this, G&M Archery has one in stock.  It's 62"  56#@28",Zebra/Bunginga/Black Locust.

I picked this up on the way to work and unpacked, assembled, and strung it up in the Squad Room.  Very few of my brother officers bowhunt and none shoot Trad, but I had a group of onlookers surrounding me oohing and aaahing.

Everyone wanted to hold it and a few tried drawing it. A couple commented that bowhunting would be pretty cool with a bow like this.

Thus is the seed planted...
