Arrowed my first catfish!

I wasn't expecting to see anything to arrow on the water this morning, but always take my bow when the kids and I are fishing.

 This big kitty was cruising around in the shallows right at the surface, which seemed odd to me. It's pretty warm here today, in the 90's. Thought for sure those things would have headed for deeper water.
 
 Anywho...the arrow went right where I was looking and I landed it in short order. Glad to add it to "The List" of critters harvested with my longbow.

 60 inch St. Joe River longbow, pulling 58@28. This bow has a lot of thwack power!    :cool:

I wish we could shoot species other than carp and gar here in Virginia.

Cool! I would love to arrow a catfish. I never see any up in the shallows though. We are allowed to take up to 5 catfish in a day with a bow in KY. Also, we have a limit of two spoonbills a day with a bow too. No limit on other rough fish though.
