Which Recurve brings greatest Joy ???
« on: July 14, 2013, 05:57:00 PM »
Title says it all.    What recurve just brings the most satisfaction to you.   One surely trumps all others for smoothness, accuracy, quietness, speed or whatever blows your hair back.

Which one does it for ya?

I just put the static tip limbs back on my RER LXR...there is some magic in those limbs...I shoot that bow well with the longbow limbs, but I shoot it even better with the recurve limbs

Can't wait to get my new LXR in February. I'm sure that will be the last bow I ever buy.

I have limited experience with recurves, but, as of right now, it would be my Jack Kemph Kwyk Styk.

That may change after I get my hands on the Eaglrwing Archery Talon II I have on order.

Second would be just about any vintage K-Mag.

I'm a longbow shooter.  I also have lot of bows both longbows, selfbows, and recurves.  I'll shoot a recurve but very rarely hunt one.  My main hunting bow as of lately is a Morrison ILF 13" metal riser with longbow limbs.  I just traded a recurve for a set of Morrison Max1 recurve limbs which shoot  great and maybe my first Hunting recurve since the 80's!

Since the first week in May it is my 58", 48#, all bocote Tall Tines.  I've been carrying the same bow into the deer woods since 1990, but that all changed with the arrival of "PBS 2012".  This bow has it all with form, function and fondle factor.

I love shooting different bows, most of them recurves.  Right now an old Jack Howard Gamemaster Jet is really catching my fancy.

Border Hex 5 or 6 ILF.  In a standard bow, anything Toelke or Bob Lee.  Dryad does some great ILF limbs as well.

Right now it is a 1957 Bear Kodiak. Picked it up at a local online auction. I can't help but smile every time I shoot it. I got it cheap but it shoots as good as any modern custom bow I have shot.
