Footing arrows question

If you are shooting arrows that have the HIT( hidden insert technology) does it still help the durability of the arrow to still foot the shaft?

What size alluminum do you foot -Beeman centershot 500 with? I tried 2018 and 2016 and there to small. I tried a 2117 and there to big.

Take a look at the video in this thread if you haven't already.  Also, there is a list of footing sizes that might help you get close...don't see the Beman Centershot listed, though.

Let us know what you end up with.

Bahrzoo, a 2016 has an ID of .2805
2117 is .2941.You may need a 2013 which is .2865.

I just footed some MFX 500's with 2"s of 2020 Easton legacy's. Arrows with field points are flying very well, seems to have not affected my arrow flight. I'll shoot them with broadheads tomorrow.

Arrows with the HIT insert are the ones that really need to be footed, I have found that if you put a broad head on a used shaft without footing on and arrow spinner you will see a wobble or runout. The footing will prevent this.

Chamfer the back end of the "foot" ............. should help with withdrawing.
