I believe Ive tried EVERYTHING in regards to face camo.....the best thing Ive found by far for an actual "mask"  is the KUIU merrino neck gator they sell....its super thin and can be worn in warm or cold weather.  You buy the merrino hat with it,  put the hat on first,  then pull the gator down over it....and it makes a perfect balaclava type deal!  Great under a baseball cap or wool hat/watch cap type.  I just pull it over my head and once its in place,  you can either pull it up over your nose for more coverage,  or pull it up over your upper lip....for a little more free breathing.  This thing rolls/folds up smaller than a golf ball,  so you can tuck it in any pocket.   And its merrino....easy to clean and keep the stink off.   Its worth every penny!

I've tried lots of different masks of one sort or another.
elastics, mouth/chin/nose/wraps, full face mask, even those loose fitting leafy deals with the bendy wire oval "hole" with the pull tight string.
Never found one I liked.

Either in just comfort or convenience.

Also, try as I might, I didn't like the way it changed how my anchor felt.

So, the best I've found is carbomask, or cork.
These don't stay on that well in the heavy rain..but wearing a soaking wet mask isn't my idea of a good time either..lol

This ASAT is my favorite..or was, made the same ole mistake I've made many times before..put it in my front cargo pocket and didn't button the flap. Those limbs and brairs can reach right in my pockets.

The mask is real thin and the bill (shorter than the picture looks and real thin and pliable) comes in handy if sun gets in my eyes.

I don't wear it down most of the time, just wad it up and push back on top of my head till I see game.

Winter time I wear it over warmer face masks.

Gotta order another one.

"Buff" for me. Very comfortable and durable.

I really like the poly one predator camo make, light, feel anchor, stays in place and not to bed in cold or warm weather.

I have been using one of the Under Armour hinged facemasks lately.  I have one in camo and one in black. I like it because I can lower the bottom part under my chin at the moment of truth and still find anchor easily.

Fred bear never wore a mask hahaha.  I don't like them but I will wear a ski style mask when its really cold.  Try and keep the sun out of your face and you will be fine.

Seriously, you guys who hate mesh face masks need to try spandoflauge. I hate having stuff on my face but this thing nearly disappears. You barely notice it's there! It moves with you and you can still feel your anchor.

I settled on one sold by Cover Up Products. Large opening for the eyes, nose bridge to prevent the head net from sliding back and forth. This is my deer hunting mask. For Bear hunting, full face mask from Netcraft which has a large black mono see through with clear vision.

Can you imagine Howard Hill or Fred Bear or any of 1,000s of traditional hunters being caught in a face mask? This is an amazing thread for a trad site.

Tell us how you really feel, haha

I wish I was tan, but I'm pretty pale. This face needs some cover when hunting on the ground.

I wear a Fred Bear style hat if that makes you feel any better.
