I grow a full beard in the fall.
I hate face masks and I hate face paints and I've still managed to kill deer from the ground.

I don't like face mask. Early season I wear face paint and in cold weather I wear a StormCloth mask. It is thin, water and wind proof. It's also very warm.

FYI- Most face paint comes off easily with Equate non-scent wet wipes.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

I have tried many times to wear something to cover my face but really cannot stand anything but my own skin.  Anything on my face affects my anchor point, hence my shot.  An excellent way to miss IMO.  I have never shot an animal with my face covered.

I use and really like carbo mask. It's a face paint that's wipes off with just water and won't clog pores, good stuff. Three rivers sells it.

Charcoal for me.

Tried paint and hated it, the feel and the smell of crayons all day was one of those little annoyances that will drive you nuts.

I don't like anything getting in the way of bull elk stench!!

There's one now! Can't see his tines to count but he's BIG! Herd bull? Satellite? Mmmm. Kinda big for a satellite.
Just two more yards (c'mon!!) and I got a shot... oh, sorry, forgot where I was for a second.

I grab some burnt wood chunks off the ground and rub it in. Takes a good scrubbing to get off though...

You forget, both of them were filmed and were promoting their own adgendas while hunting so no, they wouldn't be caught dead with one in front of the cameras.

I've worn one for 46 years but mine are homemade. The originals were brown wool and the later ones were deerskin. I stayed away from paint and burnt cork because we used to stop in a diner for lunch and I felt I looked like a yahoo with it on.

I stop by Cabelas at lunch and got a camo Buff- love it!  Will work great for yearly season here in TX. Like how it stays up as a mask but not tight to hurt or affect vision. Also the 12+ ways to wear it is also nice incase I forget my hat

lots of mosquitoes here.. When its hot to cold out I use the Hunters Specialties "camo flex form" head net..it has a wire piece on nose bridge and 2 elastic bands. When north of Florida and its freezing out I wear one of my fleece masks, can't remember any name brands. I also wear my fleece "Coups cap" when it cold to freezing out.

I am really liking my camo buff when I wear a face mask when it gets a little colder but during the early season I still use face paint.
