Great day with the kids(and adults) at Marshall today.
The kids were flinging arrows almost non-stop on the range today.
I got to see a bunch of old friends.
A place where all are welcomed!

A couple of ladies working on their own selfbows.
The kids having more fun in "Muddville"
One very tired ELB shooter.
John had been doing shooting demos all morning with his 125@28 English war bow.
I just noticed that in this picture you can see John's war bow along with his arrows leaning against the tree to his left.(looks like a yew pole next to his quiver full of 32" 1750 grained white fletched logs he shot)

Hey brother Mudd, looks like a great time! I loved the pics. What bow did you shoot ... you beautiful Sage?
Next year I might be able to make it to Mo Bo Jam ... How cool would that be?
Bob.

Bob thank you for the kind words!
I think it would be awesome if you could make it to next years gathering.
No the "Slim Girl"(Sage) stayed at home out of the heat.
I packed my old bamboo backed Osage "Sunshine" for the clout shoot. I also took "John Jr"(yew warbow 97@28) off the wall for an outing.
My goal for this years MoBoJam was to shoot as many different bows as I could. I lost track of the actual number that turned out to be but man was it ever fun...lol
I enjoyed watching my good friend Cliff Wilson work on building his 1st selfbow under the guiding hands and watchful eyes of our own knowledgeable DVSHunter.
I am so excited to see Cliff get infected with a truer sense of "traditional archery", I just wish he hag come around to his new found love of sticks and strings while he was still living close to me...lol

Here is a photo worth sharing.
It's one of my very hot and tired friend John.
John builds and shoots true English longbows (war bows).
Some of John's training was with the Queen's personal bowyers in England.
John gives of his time and skills readily at many gatherings every year(not counting all of the other presentations he does like in schools)
If you look behind John and to his left you can see that yew pole/post(bow) along with a quiver full of 32" white fletched logs that weigh in at 1750 gr each that he had been flinging all day.
It's no wonder the man needed a nap.....lol
