Just got back this past friday from Colo. Bulls are bugling and starting to gather up cows as of last Tues-Wens. My buddy got a cow at 16 yards with a 55# Aussie. 160gr. Ace 2 blades and carbon shaft, don't remember arra wgt. Broadhead had penetrated the off rib cage. My setup was a 56-3/4# Ancient Spirits Thunderhawk, cedar shafts with 135 Zwickeys weighing in at 615-618grs. and 185fps.
I had one at 9 feet and couldn't get the shot, but thats another story for another day. Wish I was still out there!!!!!

Will be in Wyoming in about a week. 60# Howard Hill will be my number one bow; 58# Robertson longbow my backup. 650-700 grain footed cedar arrows. Two blade STOS, Zwickey and Howard Hill heads. Will likely have one of each in my quiver.

been layed-up with a pinched nerve in the neck for the last few weeks.Any hopes for breaking in my new 60# daala went out the window, can't handle the weight.Sure glad I picked up a set of 42# SF limbs(for lateseason whitetails)as these are about all I can manage.I'm sure the lightweight Das, along with 600 grain of stos equipped CX 250 should do wonders on a nice close broadside bull. I leave next week; body willing. Mo.

My 16 year old son is in the middle of his first archery elk hunt. He shoots a Bighorn Ramhunter longbow, 53#, at his draw length, and pine arrows with a 145 gr. STOS head that weigh about 620 gr.
This year I'm hunting with a 3-piece Rampart longbow, pulling 72# at my draw length. I'm shooting a tapered cedar arrow with a 160 gr. grizzly tip that weighs about 700 gr.
Have a great hunt!
