I would want a bow built to last and that I could depend on. Of all my bows that would be a Frontier 66. It was designed with that kind of scenario in mind. God bless, Steve

Bob Lee, Elite (basic model)but for a few more $  a bullet proof bow riser made of black phenolic would be ideal

$800-$900 is a chunk of change but unfortunately leaves you below many of the "premier" bows.  Does it have to be new?  There are lots of deals in the classifieds, I'd be very reluctant to drop that kind of money on a bow I wasn't familiar with.  There are lots of good shooting bows out there but each has it's own feel and what I like you might not.

For a   new bow in that price category I'd look at Kota bows, I've never had one but spent some time with them at a shoot a while back.  Very impressive and several new ones were below your price.

Another bow that appeals to me in your price range is the new Bear '59 Kodiak reproduction...a real looker and I've read they shoot as well as they look.

I will not order/buy any custom bow for that kind of money without first seeing/shooting it.  You could end up with a expensive wall hanger.

Great Northern Jackknife Bushbow 50@28 Hickory limbs and a Shedua Riser. $800-$900 ain't enough loot for another Widow.
