Spent the day on Lake Melvern in eastern Kansas. Biggest fish of the day. 15 lb buffalo and nice garr for that lake. Rainy day, spotting fish was hard, but fun!

Melvern is a nice lake. I worked on the construction of it in 1971-1972 as a surveyor. Killed my first deer just south of the town of Melvern. Jim

Mel's been looking like Jack Lalane for a while now. Looks like it's staying off too, so that is great!
Nice fish Mel!

Bah-ha-ha! I was thinking the same thing. I thought “hmm he must have been hunting with a friend.”
I saw you a couple of times in person last year, Mel and I didn’t recognize you in these pictures either. Congratulations on the fish, those are some big’uns! Chris Kinslow and I went out the last couple of weekends and haven’t seen very many carp and zero gar.
