« on: July 28, 2013, 12:01:00 PM »
Need to round out my collection with a 1 pc recurve.

What's your thoughts.?...Greg Javaman makes the Assyrian and Helms Deep (lil favorite)

Anybody shot both and how would they compare with a RER Arroyo..........Thanks for any info you can help with!

Jacobsladder, Gregg is also in Michigan. If he's not too far away, maybe you could stop by one day and try them both out for yourself. Or maybe he'd send you one to try. I recently spoke with him, and he plans on being at Kalamazoo again in 2014, so maybe you'll have the opportunity to find out there.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

I had a 60" Assuryian that was 55@28 and with my 30" draw it flat out SMOKED an arrow. The grip was incredible. Gregg makes quality, no doubt. A great guy too!

How quiet are the helms deep and Assyrian?  did it take much work to quiet them down?

I shot the Assuryian at Kzoo this year and thought it was quiet for a recuve.

I shot the assuryian and his new inferno[longbow] at Kzoo this year as well. That curve shoots and draws very smooth, inferno was SO quick! been shooting one of his tanjavur longbows for about 5 years now, haven't shot one of my other bows since I got it.  His grip is awesome!!
