I am waiting for a friend who will be coming all the way from the Yukon Territory to my neck of the woods for a visit. We both share the same passion for bowhunting and horses.
I have been away from making bows for a loooong time ….
so I had to prove my skills again and made those two risers.
One is gonna be a present for my friend and I wonder which one he will pick. Here are the specs on the risers:
The wooden one is made out of Black Walnut and Shedua with some antler overlay on the back of riser.
The black one is made out of "Paper-stone" with some horn overlays back and front and makes a very heavy rock solid riser.
Both are Carbon reinforced with Birch accent stripes.
They need some final sanding and spraying to get rid of that glossy look and they will be ready for hunting.
