I have no idea if it can take longbow limbs, Big Jim could answer that. He's a great guy who's very responsive to any questions you may have. I'd email him or call. Big Jim's Bow Company 812 Morgan Ct. Albany, GA 31705 229-420-5669 Ofc. (8am-5pm EST)

I agree with you OBXarcher, I couldn't believe how fast it shot. At 52# it seemed to me to be faster than heavier bows which I have owned.

Almost looks like a static limb. Is it as quiet as his longbows?

pamike, I haven't yet shot his longbows however I can say that it is extremely quiet and shock free.

Looks great - definitely one to try. With the right woods I think he could give it some mass. One more to the list!

I would imagine he could provide some more mass with the right woods. Mine feels light to me but until I got Big Jim's bow I had been shooting a Black Widow PMAV which definitely had some mass weight to it. Thanks to everyone for all of the compliments.

Thanks for the compliments guys and I'm glad your enjoying your bow Jeff.
Yes this bow could be made to be quite heavy. My personal bow has a riser made of Black and white ebony and asian ironwood. It is very heavy...not what I was trying to achieve as I'm not personnaly in to heavy mass weight bows, the added mass is just a by product of some very beautiful and dense woods.
