which shrew to order?
« on: August 04, 2013, 06:58:00 PM »
I draw 29.5 and like 85#ish +/-.  So would a CH be to short?  Should I go Super Shrew? I've heard even the short ones Don't stack.  What say yall?

thanks
Josh

No stack for you on the CH and I don't think any on the SS in the longer versions.  Find them and try them if you can so you can see what you like and how the two bows feel on your fingers. I like a 60" SS more than the CH at 56" even though with the shorter riser on the CH the limb length is not all that different.

Mine is a SS Samurai.  At 60" I get no stack at all and I draw to 30".

I have 56" CH & 60" SS and a 29.5" draw.

Both will draw smoothly past 30"

Both are great bows but I like the SS better, a little more stable, feels like a much longer bow.

I have a 58" Super Shrew Delux that draws smoothly back as far as I can pull it (29+"). This is my go to bow. Excellent quality, and I can hit what I want no matter how long it's been since I last shot it.  You can't go wrong with a shrew!

Dang!! that has got to be a thing to see. I would think that your almost pulling the string off the limb tips at that point. That bow has got to be in a hell of an arch. Just sounds scary.  rat'

Not trying to slam the Shrews you have built for you Ron,just saying it has got to LOOK spooky when the bow is drawn that far. Has to. I've owned a few Shrews myself, and if you were making a 62" 2-piece right now,I'd be signing up. So,please don't take offense. Not meant that way. rat'
