Hey guys I collected a few more trophies over the last few days. If you guys remember my last post I had shot a carp and missed a really nice one. Well Sunday afternoon I went back to the outlet to see what I could find. I wasn't seeing any fish at all. I walked down to the spot where I missed the big carp last week. I was standing there looking in the water when all of a sudden I saw a big row of scales come up under a submerged log. I quickly drew back and let the arrow go. The water exploded in commotion, and it was only than I realized I actually hit the sucker ! I pulled it in and quickly realized it was a very big carp for this small outlet. I pulled it up to the bank and admired it. It was only than I realized it had a mark on  the top side of its head, where my arrow had deflected off of its head just last week. This was the big carp I had missed ! It was 27 inches long, which for this spot was really nice.

Than yesterday I came home to find a groundhog in the yard. I grabbed my grizzly and went after it. After a stalk through the yard and a humiliating miss at 6 feet I managed to stick the hog with a 10-12 yard shot that put it down.

after the groundhog I went back to the outlet and found 2 carp swimming in the current. I did a stalk to within 8 yards and stuck the smaller of the 2, which was an average one at 20" long.

I put on a longer bowfishing arrow last week because my last one I cut to short and was causing me to short draw and miss, now with the new arrow I seem to be on the ball. Enjoy SS

Awesome! Anyone that can kill a ground hog with a trad bow is definitely doing something right! Good job on those "carpsuckers" as I call them.
