wood options?

What are some good wood choices that go well with bocote? Thinking bocote veneers, but don't know what kind of riser wood would look good.
Thanks for opinions.

Lots of wood goes well with Bocote. I picked Ziricote to go with it and I'm happy with how it turned out. The Bocote has darkened up quite a bit from these pics and looks even better. Wenge and Macassar Ebony look great with it as well

Pretty much everything. Osage or Purple Heart would look really cool and give it some nice color.

Bocote looks nice with cocobolo. I've seen several nice bows with bocote and gaboon ebony in the riser. Bocote and wenge looks nice together. I have a Blacktail that is bocote footed with wenge, bocote limb veneers.

Wenge is a good choice. Or Bolivian rosewood.

I like cocobolo personally. I've thought about doing a bow with cocobolo riser, bacote footings, and waterfall bubinga limbs with bacote and horn tips.
