Introducing the Mountain Lite by Swafford Knives
« on: August 07, 2013, 05:22:00 PM »
Swafford Knives has designed a light weight knife for back country hunters. The knife is a semi-skinner design and will be a versatile big game knife.  It is intended to be carried in the hunters pack and no belt loop is included on the sheath for weight savings. This also creates a very slim package that takes up minimal space.
My goal was to build a fixed blade knife that would compete weight wise with the folding replaceable blade models other companies offer, while providing a more functional and durable knife. I'm pleased with the outcome.

*3.5 total ounces with sheath!
*D-2 Steel 1/8" thick.
*Checkered spine for added control during use.
*61 Rockwell hardness, cryo treated and triple tempered.
*3.25" cutting edge and 7.750 O.A.L. +/-
*Lanyard hole in handle and multiple rivets in    sheath for paracord attachment if desired.
*Green,Khaki, and Orange Kydex sheaths.

In stock and ready to ship. I will be listing the knives I have completed in the sponsors classifieds. Thanks for looking and good hunting!

Great little knife. I'd like that one with or without scales.

Shawn, could you show a closeup of that checkering? That's the first time I've seen that and it looks very nice. Coarse checkering file across the spine and fine file lengthwise?
