Hey everybody!

I am excited to join the gang. My buddy, jedimaster, gave me a wonderful birthday gift yesterday, a Bear Montana Longbow. He's a true friend, indeed. I am excited beyond words and truly thankful.

So I thought I would join the forum. Although I have hunted some with a compound, I am new to traditional archery. I look forward to learning a lot from you guys.    :)

Welcome, nice to see another traditional archer from Mississippi join the ranks here.  What part of the state are you from?

mrjonwilson is a class act in every way and I'm glad to be his friend.  He is a serious hunter and has the trophies to prove it.  By comparison I'm just a hobby hunter    ;)    He'll be a fine trad bowhunter no doubt.  I'm satisfied to be a tinkerer but I do enjoy having friends that share my interests!

JJACOBS, we are both in central MS. The quality of the deer herd here is diminishing ... since my bud keeps taking the big-uns out of the gene pool    :banghead:    Thankfully he has a passion for killing coyotes as well so at least the smaller deer have fewer of them to worry about    :D

I am from Newton, not but about 40 miles from Carthage.  I know what you mean about the deer, they are really spooky in my area, and all I ever see are does.
