gold tip trad's

I have a dozen and I have heard of people taking off the lettering so the cresting looks better.  What to you guys use to take it off?

If you're dipping the arrows before cresting you can dip over if you want, if not rubbing alcohol works.  I use the bohning thinner and it works too.
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

Or acetone works too. I clean them with alcohol after. Not sure why, but I feel better that way   :)

I use a rag soaked with acetone and wipe the labels off of the black Gold Tip shafts. I have never shot the woodgrain ones, so I do not know if the acetone will hurt the woodgrain finish or not.

Denatured alcohol and VERY fine steel wool works for me.

Acetone and a Scotch-Brite or other abrasive pad.  0000 steel wool will work OK too on a carbon shaft.

Other goldtip arrows like the expedition hunters lettering comes off real easy with a rag and acetone, but the trad shafts need something abrasive, either way it won't hurt the wood grain coating

I've removed the labels from the "wood grain" trad GT shafts. Didn't seem to bother the colors on the shaft at all.

Another shaft up the butt doesn't help them, though (one of VERY few Robin Hoods).

I use the brillo pads, with the impregnated soap. That works smooth and easy!
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]
