Whip in TBM
« on: August 24, 2013, 02:09:00 PM »
This may be mentioned elsewhere but Whip has a terrific article in the newest  issue of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine about his Utah bison hunt.

Quite a challenging hunt especially when you find out you drew a tag only 6 weeks before the season opens and it's over a 1000 miles from home!

Well done Joe! Both the hunt and the article.

Glad someone cleared that up for me. I read it last night. I kept saying to myself, I have heard this name somewhere before. I think he is a member of tradgang. Mystery solved. Great hunt.

Dang, I was in town yesterday and didn't go to the magazine stand.
I remember when Whip found out about the tag, big decision as to whether he'd go or not. Then the Hero pics on here.
Good decision, I'm looking forward to reading the story.

We'll need to work on some more Utah material

Thanks for the comments guys.  It was pretty cool to see that actually in print.  I have done a little writting before, and really need to try to do more, but this was my first time submitting something to TBM.

Looking forward to reading it Joe!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.
