3D Shoot
« on: August 24, 2013, 10:06:00 PM »
Hey everyone, I shot my second 3D tournament with my longbow today.  My shooting was much improved over the first tournament I participated in.  I hit more than I missed, didn't lose a single arrow, and shot with a great group of people.  I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who contributes to this site.  The information found here has been fundamental in my improvement as an archer.  It's really amazing how much I have improved in the last 6 weeks armed with the information on this site and some steady practice. Thanks again!

Congratulations on your improvements.

It's always more fun when you succeed.... and don't lose any arrows....lol

PS:I replaced "steady practice" with flinging arrows daily for fun and found improved accuracy as my result...lol

I shot at THE Archery Club in Topeka.  They've had a great set up every time I've been there.

My family and my Brother, his wife and by other brothers kids shoot the Traditional shoot there.  It is a blast, we camp out and make a weekend of it.  Look us up next year!

Glad to hear that Jon, the T.H.E club is great. There is a trad only shoot coming up at the end of September at the tri county rod and gun club, it's down by bonner. You should look them up, it will be a good time

Hey guys, thanks for the info.  I plan on going to the Tri County and De Soto shoots next month.  I think T.H.E. is also having another shoot on Sept 28th and 29th.  I plan on going on the 29th.  Hermon, I'm going to try to make it to the Wakarusa Valley Traditional shoot at T.H.E. next year, I'll see if I can find you.
Till then keep shooting straight,
      Jon     :archer2:

I just double checked and the Prairie Traditional Archers shoot in DeSoto shoot is Sept 14th, not the 15th.  See you there!

Salthawk Archery Club in Hutchinson has a good traditional only shoot, or at least they did, don't live near there so haven't been keeping up with it, it's first week of April last I knew, they have camping spots available.
