How many arrows do you take to the woods? Realistically there will only be one shot maybe two. So what do you fellas do?

I use a bow quiver on my longbow. I will take either 3 broadheads and 2 blunts or 4 broadheads and 1 blunt.  It depends on where I'm hunting.

Usually 4 or 5 broad head arrows and a blunt or two for small game. A lot of deer hunts turn into squirrel hunts.    :archer:

Realistically, you might shoot over the deer on the first shot, and it might hang around or return in a few minutes for a second shot, so you don't want to bother looking for the arrow right then.  You might hit the deer on the second shot, but find that it needs a third shot to finish it off. If you only bring 4 arrows, that leaves you with only one extra arrow in case you need it.  Plus whatever blunts you want to shoot to pass the time.

I assume that if you were that confident that you would finish the deer off with one shot, you probably wouldn't be asking the question.

4. Usually 3 broadheads and one field tip for a shot before I leave the stand in the morning.

delongbows

Four broadheads and one judo for me.

My Great Northern quivers hold 5 arrows, so 5 is my answer to your question.

Ok thanks Yall. I'm confident in killing a deer out to 25yds with one shot. Just wondered was all. I usually take 4 plus a field tip to shoot a practice shot from my stand.

I carry three. If I miss any more than that I probably just need to go home and practice haha.

So you don't like shootin' at squirrels?     :)   Sometimes they are way more plentiful than deer. Oh, and I carry about 6 arrows when I hunt.

I'm using a 4 arrow quiver. 3 broad heads and 1 blunt.

4 w/broadheads and always a judo or 2, have the judos mounted outside the quiver with piggybackers ziptied to the hood...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

My quiver only holds 5 and I always carry a "stinger, or a blunt" for squirrels so I only carry 4 razor sharp broadheads for the big critters, 1 for the smaller critters. LOL

I will be taking a 5 arrow quiver with me and I will have 4 broadheads and a blunt.

Three broadheads and one field tip. I a lot of times will shoot the field tip a few times before I head to the stand and then once at a spot under the feeder when leaving the stand.

ChuckC

three and one, always for me.

UNLESS I am skwerl hunting, then I carry as many as I can stuff in a back quiver.

I carry 4, one with a blunt and three with broadgheads, but I also carry two extra broadheads in a hard plastic pack in my backpack. I shoot carbons and there have been times I have emptied my quiver and had to climb down and collect my arrows. The arrows are usually fine but the broadheads maybe bent or even broken. I can replace them and climb back up the tree. I have done this a couple times, once when I shot Mom and her two fawns in one sitting and still had my buck tag and another time when I killed a 5pt. than missed what looked like his twin twice and still had 3 hrs. of shooting light and at last light killed a big male coyote with an arrow I had replaced the broadhead.
