Widow that is a cool photo. Ray Hammond nailed it with that photo!

Tracy those first two pics were fantastic.  The rest were good too, but the first ones were especially good. Thanks for sharing.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

Here's my personal favorite.  It's a doe I killed last year with a longbow and arrows that I made.  The shot was a good double lung hit and probably the best shot I've ever made on a deer - hit the exact spot I picked out and she went maybe 70 yards before piling up.

I don't normally have a camera with me, but my nephew was behind me taking pictures and I didn't know anything about it till later.

@bluegill-  I love good color photos and I love good black & white photos.  I was really surprised how good that sepia-toned (if that's what it's called) photo looks.  Well framed and perfect for trad.

Always liked this one as the sun was really starting to filter in through the trees

So far the canoe pic is my favorite.  For some reason I'm fascinated by the idea of using a canoe to reach isolated animals!

Me to!!! I'm selling a bunch of stuff to actually fund a canoe and am doing a float trip in the spring in it for spring bear here in oregon. Have you searched on here and seen some of Ron laclair's canoe pics? He has a couple cool ones also.

those wensel boy are oddly photgenic.  It helps when you're holding a buck that size!  Love that pic.

Te dall sheep pic is great.  I love the scenery and the clean pose.  I'll make sure to get some of that stuff in this year.  K.S., that photo of the deer head on and the bow layin across it behind in the photo, that is a great shot too.  Seems that several of my favorites are from that low, personal angle, like Joes on this page.  Sockrsblur, the beard helps!!

The scenery can make the shot too...

If possible, I try to move the animal to a desired location.  If alone, as I usually am, I like to use a tripod and DSLR if it's convenient. Take as many photos as possible from different angles!
