storing recurve for travel

when you go to the range and put your takedown recurve in the case how do you do it in a way that you don't on twist or twist
the string doing so that you loose your brace height

Take the tie off a loaf of bread, tie ends together.

Run one end of the string thru the other end, then secure by re-running the opposite end thru the original end. It's easier than it sounds.
