Mudd, you said you used wallboard. is that the same thing as sheetrock? i watched the video, and he used Plexiglass (which is pretty pricey). how do you think the wallboard will hold up? anybody know of any type of plastic panels that might hold up to moisture, but not be as expensive as plexiglass?

a little research turned up this. if it's smooth on the back side, rather than textured like the front, it would be good. only 1/8" thick, though.

there is a plastic "cardboard" out there, looks just like cardboard (construction) only it is made of plastic. It is strong, light, likely impervious to water and probably suitably cheap.
Made of polypropylene, and it is corrugated sheets, sold as 2' x 3' I believe.
Hmmm

The link that Johnny posted is, what we call in the restaurant business, FRP (fiber reinforced plastic.)
What Chuck and Roy are talking about is called coroplast. It's used in yard signs, political election signs, etc. This seems like the better product to me. It should be lighter and easier to cut. All you need is a straight edge and a razor knife.
I happen to have a couple of sheets of that laying around. (I used to use it to make granite countertop templates.) I may have to order some Mylar sheet and make me one of those bad boys.
Good job, Mudd!

Mudd, what do you think about inventing a "ghost decoy". A turkey decoy, out of that material. Actually, making a smaller, several sided "blind" to be set out near your decoy, Once the turkey is close enough, it will see itself and get upset and look at (and try to fight) the new comer and not at you .
Think it will work ?
Where did you acquire your mylar ?

Hey Kent, try the Home Depot (if there is one in your area ) they have it at our area store and it's $22.00 FOR A 4'X8' SHEET. Probably a lot cheaper in the USA.

I love it!!!!!!!!
I have looked at those mirror blinds that are commercially made and laugh at the build quality and the cost.
You my friend have an awesome idea and this is now on my to do list. Thanks for sharing!
