Just finally had a chance to read this thread. Congratulations Joe on a great bull!!! Quite an encore to that Buffalo hunt!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Great bull, Joe. The quartering and packing out is almost more fun that a man can stand, however. Makes those steaks taste even better, knowing the work that you put in.
Congrats on a beautiful elk.

Wow!!  What a beautiful bull!  Sure enjoyed your article about the Bison hunt in TBM and this is just as inspiring!  Thanks for sharing.

Just seeing this.....congrats Joe on a well-deserved bull!   Good things happen to those who work/hunt hard.   Great story telling too!

Congradulations Joe, Charlie told me you had posted your hunt. Thank you for sharing and giving a glimps of what you went through. That is a beautiful  bull and to take him with the stick and string is even better. To bad you could not save the cape, but totaly understand after you explained how the bull stuck himself there in the spot he did. I can feel your pain in packing as I have been through it more times than I can remember.I see you have a good group of folks following your adventures. I truly hope our paths will cross some day.
Take care. PS the collection is growing. May be time to start selling?
