Pick a spot
« on: September 14, 2013, 12:15:00 PM »
Got out again on the marsh and was treated to another nice sunrise with a refreshing north wind.

A couple minutes after I snapped the pix I heard the unmistakable sound of deer in the marsh

A mature Sika doe was heading right to me

She steps out of the Mrytles and

Gives meaning to the term "pick a spot" doesn't it LOL Sika all have spotted coats for their summer hair and they are just now starting to loose em. I also filled my doe tag last week and am looking for a stag so she got to walk. I'll never get a big stag to stand there like she did LOL!!!

Awesome, one of the hunts on my wish list.  Are you hunting public or private land?

The pixs were taken on private ground. There are several good tracts of public land but they are quite popular animals to hunt so you got your work cut out for you as far as people pressure.

Beautiful.  Got the invite to hunt outside Vienna all weekend on 2:15 Friday..........then the in laws came in town.  Your view was better than mine.

Cool, love to see other's areas.  Thanks for sharing
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
