I've never had one, but would like to try it. They eat nothing but vegetation, so should taste a lot like rabbit?
What do the guys say that have eaten them?

Bladepeek - Not the best table fare, they're stinky critters with many scent glands all about their body, do a search...

They have wreaked havoc on our garden plants this year and we keep them on the deck to avoid deer. My wife insisted that they had to go after destroying the cilantro. I've gotten four of them in the backyard this year, but there is still one big one that has eluded me. And yes, they can run far even on a double lung, head shots are best.

Great shot!
When i lived down state we use to hunt ground hogs all summer. Great times and very challenging to stalk in on them.

Taste wise I'd say close to squirrel, we always pressure cooked them and then fried they are on the bland side and can be strong depending on what they've been eating.

Great shot!
I shoot them with broadheads then maybe a finishing shot to the skull with a Hex Head if they need it. I had a pretty good year on them but nothing since July. I guess I killed all the dumb ones.
