Ron @ KME Customer Service (KME kill thread)
« on: September 16, 2013, 11:52:00 AM »
I just got off the phone with Ron from KME.  After several years of use I wore out the roller bracket on my BH sharpener, so I called up to get a new one.
This guy loves to talk hunting!!!  He also genuinely cares how his product is helping you out with hunting.  We shot the bull for a while and exchanged a few stories. Hell of a nice guy who stands behind his product and wants to help out any way he can.
I like to acknowledge good guys and give them a little plug. I thought we could post up some KME kill shots for him.

Ron is good folks, for sure! And his product is top notch. I bet I can find a few pics of critters killed with a BH sharpened by a KME!

That KME gets my BH's as sharp as they can be!

There are more!!!!

The only critters that I shoot that do not get shot with a BH sharpened by a KME is the ones that get shot with brand new broadheads. I shoot GK heads and they are scary sharp out of the box, so I do not need to sharpen those. I have been hunting with the same bunch of BH's since I first started using GK's in 2008 or so.

On Ron's recommendation, I bought the KME knife sharpener to sharpen my GK's. I set it up at the factory bevel and it NEVER gets changed. I only use it for the BH's , and nothing else.

I am hoping for a few new pics to add in the next few months, as deer season here opens on 9/28!

WOW, Bisch,
Nice photos!
Congratulations on all your trophies.
Those TX hogs are big-uns for sure.
Takes a really sharp head, placed just right to take one down.
Good job!

I give him a plug every chance I get, he and his products are outstanding!! I know he has helped my blood trails get shorter and brighter!! Here is my latest KME victim, a mature Sika doe from last week. I used the broadhead sharpener to not only sharpen the old Bear razorhead but used it for the bleeder too!

JimB, great pics...

I'll tell you what, next to Ron, I've never seen someone as proficient with that tool... I  just sharpened my heads this weekend.

If I recall, Jim can get a "Mirror" finish on broadheads...

NICE

If it weren't for Ron and his devices,I wouldn't know how to sharpen a head.I used to be able to put an edge on a head that would kill but am much more pleased with the results now.The picture above is from one Ron personally sharpened.Customer service is one thing but single handedly teaching hundreds of bowhunters who couldn't,how to sharpen broadheads well,is a service to our sport and our community.I consider that a very big contribution.

There are many more but those are the pics that are handy. These sharpeners of Ron's are the best addition to my gear box in a long time.

I can not forget that if it was not for RON.I would likely still be trying to put a good quality grind on these Grizzly broadheads.   :notworthy:    :notworthy:

Holy crap guys!!!... Don't know what to say except thank you.. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

To see all these animals humanely and quickly killed and recovered ...and for you to suggest that I may have contributed in some small way to your personal successes is beyond humbling. Your success is  very  important to me. These pics and stories validate all the time and effort I've put into KME. Even if we never make a dime it will still be worth every minute because of your success. I feel that life is about contributing. So many of you have contributed to my knowledge over the years. I'm very happy to see that at least in some cases, I may have returned the favor.

Now where is that teardrop smiley...

Ron
