He had entered some alfalfa too far away from me but just before dark came off the alfalfa towards me in a hurry. There was a thread on here recently where I mentioned I don't prefer it but don't hesitate on a quartering to shot. Well, that is all he offered and it wasn't going to get better. He was quartering to, moving at a fast walk. he was at 22 steps. I like closer shots but I had only a few days to hunt. I drew back and it felt perfect and I shot. It passed right through with a ripping sound. I could see the arrow go right in.
