What arrow is comparable to CE Heritage 90?
« on: September 23, 2013, 08:15:00 PM »
I'm trying to see what arrows can be used as a substitute to CE Heritage 90's.  I need to cut them to 27 inches.

Thanks!

Bill

I used to shoot 90's but changed over to easton Epic 500's and easton quit making them but make the aftermath which I'm using now. They are lighter than the 90's but are are shooting arrows for my 50# bows .

A 2016 alum. is the same deflection as the carbon express 90.  Weighs a little more also.  Deflection .531 I believe for both.

Would Easton axis 500 spine be similar?

The older version Carbon Express Heritage 90 have a spine of .530,the newer Heritage 90 have a spine of .588.A 2016 has a spine close to the older 90's,but I find you can't compare spines of carbon arrows and aluminum arrows. They react and recover differently, plus a 2016 is a 5/16" diameter and the Heritage 90 is a 9/32" diameter shaft. Why do you need them cut to 27"? For me I never just cut an arrow without shooting and tuning it to my bow.A 500 Axis would be close, but then again it is a smaller diameter then the Heritage 90 and will require retuning.A 2016 is the closet in spine rating but you have different diameters and a different arrow material.

I'm getting a Toelke Super Static and that was the spine and length Dan recommended.  My local shop doesn't carry the CE Heritage but does carry the Easton Axis.

Depending on what weight head you want to use, you might give GT1535s a try.
