Small game point

I like judo points for roving but they are very messy for small game . Is there a small game point that works well , is easy to clean off and doesn't allow the arrow to tunnel itself under the foliage ?

Yep, the Hex heads are very good and I recently got the "Hammer" blunts and they are very good too.....little larger diameter and put the brakes on your arrow well too.

These two are devastating heads.


Homemade you have all kinds of options
A wingnut threaded on a wooden shaft sharpened ma
I like the idea of taking a feild point and grinding the tip flat
Then take snips and make flanges by bending them out (PDP gamenabber)

Just about anything works
There is no animal better suited for trad bows and arrows than small game.
Hours of fun, lots of shot oppertunities, low pressure.
Makes me wonder why Im buying a deer tag tommorow.

slick, I have drawn a rifle deer tag in two weeks, but my mind is on the cottontail opener in 3 weeks.  my quiver is stuffed with a variety of small game heads and wood and carbons that scream to be tried on bunnies and quial.  Might just find a couple sage hens as well!
right on, lots of opprtunity and no 6 hour drives to designated hunting areas.  Nevada has some huge mulies and 3 kinds of sheep, but getting drawn is always a chore and the distances are great.. last year my elk area was 4 hours from my deer area.  Some years i draw nothing!,  but rabbits are a constant and close

Muzzy SGX works great and adds alot of killing power to the point but still has the wire arms to keep it from burying under the grass and leaves.

Hex heads are pretty devastating on small critters!  Great for garden pest control!

Yep road kill, I beleive this is my last year looking for deer.
I think next year I am getting some bombproof shafts from Forrester and go have fun.
Terrorizing tree rats and rabbits will be fun.
If you ever want to come to Ohio and hunt you will have a place to chase small game.
Its the simple things in life!

Just keep a couple of broadheads handy. You'll probably find a deer or two while looking for small game. It's funny how that works.

Check out the "star" or Adder Points you put behind a field point. That's what I use and never lost an arrow shooting at rabbits or squirrels. Works great for a turkey stopper behind a 2 blade magnus broadhead for turkey. They weigh 25gr. each and when used with a 100gr. Magnus 2 blade it comes out to an even 125gr. point, it's lethal on turkeys!
