Way to go, a bird in hand is better than maybe a deer in the freezer.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone.
  It helps to have a lot of cover early in the season. The hard part is finding the flocks. In my case it was right place right time.
