Congrats to all my fellow NY bowhunters that have been successful already!!!

Especially Adam!!!  I so happy to hear he's back to shooting a trad bow!!!!

When he came to the bunny hunt several years ago and put on the shooting display on the rolling discs I knew I was in the company of one of the, if not the.....most gifted young trad archers I've ever seen shoot.....it was fun to watch!!!

Congrats Adam...how about some pix??

I'm headed out this afternoon for only the second deer hunt of the young season....

Congrats Dan.

Izzy, I sat a spot in the pine bush where you directed me and I scouted 2 years ago,  a scheduled controlled burn had all the spots I normally sit closed.

I saw a woodcock and had a great sit with the other young critters.  The bottom let out as soon as I hit the car to pick up my wife.

Thats a cool spot Charlie. Never hunted it but have ridden my patrol mt. bike in there and saw deer and turkey. Havent seen a car in there the few times I drove through there this year.

It was a beautiful morning. I'm trying to get "reacquainted" with a set of woods that I hunt.  Hurricane sandy did a number on it. Huge oak blow downs are all over. Didn't see deer this morning. But it was really enjoying the sit. I'll be at it again tomorrow after noon.

Saw a beautiful 3 1/2 year old 8. Passed me at 40 yards. Made 3 scrapes along the ridge he was traveling. It was cool to watch but Id have rather watched him running with his tail tucked tight and crashing into trees.

Headed for Louisiana maybe a pig maybe a deer...I won't be able to get out a lot, but, the bows coming and I'll sneak a few sits in

Yep, 3rd sit was a good one. Just couldn't pass up the big mature doe at 5 yards. I thought I had hit a little far back and watched her walk 40 yards and bed down. I waited about an hour and then she got up and walked into some brush. I was thinking gut shot and backed out until 2 PM. I went home and got my son Tyler and went back. She didn't go 5 yards from where she walked into the brush. I think she walked in and fell over dead. I must've only got one lung due to the steep angle. Anyway, great deer for the freezer and it was really nice having my son with. He has been in Brazil for two years and it's nice to have my hunting buddy home (at least till he leaves for college).
