AWESOME hunt tonight. got busted drawing on a doe from another doe that was directly behind my tree! didin't think she could see me and i'm pretty sure she didn't but she did see my bow swing around! let a HUGE body 4 point walk directly underneath my stand, mouth open and definitely looking for love. i hunted with the land owner tonight and he has now told me feel free to take whatever i feel like. this place is awesome and i will definitely get a shot soon!

Crotch horn sorry to hear of your loss. I went through the same thing last spring there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of my dog and how much I still miss him.

Saw some chasing yesterday AM-- it was pretty frosty out there! Expected some action  last night in a new stand--the first truly clear evening with light winds that I have been able to get out. 4PM neighbor started the chainsaw and that, as it turns out, was the end of my peaceful and hopeful evening hunt. Back at it today.....

The Lord Blesses me beyond what I deserve. I had been waiting what seems like forever to hunt the stand I shot him from, while hunting other stands the sign kept showing up. Today the wind was perfect so I was able to set the stand I call the horse trail stand, on the way in I put out a little doe urine that I'm sure he smelled because he tried to circle but as soon as the shot presented itself I took it. I had pics of him on  a trail cam this is the fist year I ever had one of those, it was fun watching what was out there all summer and fall. Shot him with my Bob Lee hunter 46# @28, Big Jim GT blem, old Bear razor head file sharp, SBD string. He weighs #175 pounds dressed on my deer scale, 8 point  one side is weak so the pics show the good side    :bigsmyl:

Way to go Jim!  You are a deer killing machine. I've been out a few times and have been passing up quite a few in hopes that my son would get a shot. It came together last night. He shot a nice young doe that will be fantastic eating. Shot was a bit far back, but angling into the vitals. It didn't go 75 yards. Pictures to follow.

Congratulations Terry. I had passed up a couple bucks for that same reason, Joe is done so I had the opportunity at this one so I took it. It's so much nicer to see the kids get theirs first.
